It’s been so long…
Filed Under General Posts | 1 Comment
As you can see from the previous post date, it’s been really long since I’ve written anything here. But before you begin chastising me, to which you have every right, let me try and explain. Since my last post I’ve Executive Produced (EP) season three of Billable Hours, I’m halfway through EP’ing the first season of an animated show, The Dating Guy, for the Detour Block on Teletoon and I also had a new baby, Francesca. And know this, since I live ninety miles from Toronto all of my work also includes about three or fours hours of commute. So, needless to say, I haven’t had a huge amount of free time for the naval gazing that’s necessary for these blog posts.
I am off for a bit (well, at least I’m working out of the house) and will soon crank it up again. I would hazard, also, that during this fiendishly busy time, I’ve earned a thought or two. So, in the next little bit, be prepared for new ideas on Peak Oil, the sub-prime mortgage mess in the US, and some new thoughts I’ve had on sit-com writing.

I found this video on YouTube. It explains the writer’s position quite clearly.

Chloe Visit
Filed Under General Posts | 1 Comment
My daughter, Chloe, came for a visit on the weekend. I took her riding and she rode my horse, Steinn, and I rode Yolanda’s horse, Osp.
We also went to the Grand River Raceway where they have harness racing. A friend called me and let me know that they were having a draw at the track and ten people would get to ride in a sulky, each between a race. Well, that’s all I needed to hear. We all got there and had a lot of fun betting on the races. The only downside was it took forever to get a table at one of the restaurants. We were starving and by the time my food was just about to come, I got called to ride a sulky. Yeah, that’s right, my name was drawn. It was very cool but I think I annoyed the driver with my typical barrage of questions.
